VSAT stands for Very Small Aperture Terminal and refers to the antenna used, which typically measures 1m – 2.5m.

VSAT consists of two parts, a transceiver that is placed outdoors in direct line of sight to the satellite and a device that is placed indoors to interface the transceiver with the end user's communications device, such as a PC or phone system.

Offering cost-effective and secure voice, high speed data and video communications, VSAT can be deployed anywhere without reliance on 3rd party terrestrial infrastructure.

Stationary Systems

Depending on your location and needs, VSAT is available on a variety of dish sizes, ranging from 0.98 metre to 1.8 metres.

Transmitter size can range between 1 watt and 10 watts.

Systems can be mounted using a non-penetrating roof mount, or a pole mount.

The most popular system is a Ku Band 1.2 square metre dish with a 2 watt transmitter, roof mounted.
